IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy)

IEMT stands for Integral Eye Movement Therapy. A technique which I use in conjunction with Hypnotherapy.

IEMT works for many problematic emotions such as Guilt, Anxiety, Shame, Regret, Remorse, Anger, Frustration, Stress, PTSD, Depression, Grief, Self Esteem and Self Belief, and more.

IEMT is an amazing technique for changing unwanted, unhelpful emotional and identity imprints. It focuses on negative imprints that we’ve accumulated throughout our life. An imprint occurs when we are exposed to certain people, events or experiences. This can lead to negative thinking patterns and unhelpful emotions.

With a number of techniques we are able to address how the client learned to feel the way they do about the thing that troubles them, as well as how they learned to be the way they are and this brings about rapid change.

IEMT is designed to be a quick change tool. Eye movement therapies are believed to be particularly effective for reducing the emotional impact of intrusive imagery and flashbacks, so that the imagery becomes far less disturbing. After treatment, what usually happens is that the memory is still there but it seems much more distant than before and much less emotional.

An IEMT session involves asking the client some specific directive questions. The client is asked to concentrate on the answers whilst instructed to move their eyes in certain directions .
