Low self-esteem or a lack of confidence is a common problem for many people and can interfere with a person's life to varying degrees. How we feel about ourselves ripples out into every area of our lives . When negative thoughts are prevalent, whether they are generated from within us or from others, it affects the way we feel about ourselves. This in turn drives the experiences we have in our life and can have a huge impact on our happiness.

Self-confidence and self-esteem are often linked, they are however different. Self-confidence refers to the way we feel about our abilities. Whereas, self -esteem refers to how we feel about ourselves.
